Hello! My name is Samantha Trotter and I teach fourth grade language arts.  This is my fourth year teaching and I love teaching in my hometown.

I graduated from Clemson in the Spring of 2006 with a BA in elementary education and a minor in Spanish.  While attending Clemson I was a Rally Cat (a member of Clemson's dance team) and had the wonderful opportunity to live in Granada, Spain for several weeks over the summer.  In August of 2009, I completed my Masters in Education at the University of South Carolina in language and literacy.  

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we reside in Batesburg.  We also have three dogs, named Riggs, Tilly, and Sloan, who might as well be human!!! :)

Classroom Grading Policy

In my classroom, each student will receive a Language Arts grade.  This grade consists of reading, writing, and spelling grades.  Reading grades count for 90 percent of the student's final grade and spelling and writing grades count 10 percent of the student's final grade. I will also be assessing the student's handwriting by giving an S for satisfactory or an NI for needs improvement.
